I just wanted to post a quick thanks to everyone who listened to me whine and commented yesterday. It really helped to know that you're appreciating my work. And this morning, I'm back on that horse and racing for the finish line. One more pattern in the can and printed this morning and the end is in sight!

As I sit here, slaving over the second pattern printing of the day (two down, four to go!), I'm having silly thoughts about what I want in an assistant. I've written this want-ad in my head:

WANTED: Personal Assistant, Girl/Boy Friday, Spare Brain, Caretaker.
Seeking an independent self-starter who doesn't mind answering stupid questions with joy and kindness, paper cuts, standing for long periods of time, monotonous grunt work, running errands all over the valley, and walking three dogs who will never go in the same direction at once.
Must have excellent phone manners, working knowledge of company products, and enthusiasm under sometimes appalling conditions (mud, rain, cold, etc.).
Duties include printing and folding patterns, checking in stock, packaging orders, answering phones, searching for new suppliers, problem solving, and sending the company president back to her cave to write.
Should be mildly entertaining but not distracting. Cannot allow the president to weasel out of her duties. Whip-cracking skills essential. Former governesses or librarians an ideal match.
Must not open The Forbidden Door[tm] no matter how loud the screams.
Willing to work for knowledge. Or maybe patterns.
Must love dogs.
