I was all set to pass a lonely weekend with Bob at his WWII tactical. But after my whining last week about having so much work to do and no one to help me do it, the wonderful
evilapprentice volunteered to go above and beyond the call of friendship, come down to visit, and help me out. Even with a cold and a long drive, she helped me empty boxes, shelve books, organise articles, and basically get my workshop into working order again.
This is how my workshop has looked since the autumn. You see, my third floor is not heated, so I tend to avoid going up there in the winter except to fold patterns. Since October, I've been packing orders and working from my laptop downstairs. In that time, things just kinda got shoved upstairs and this is what it looked like before this weekend:

As you can see, there was so much stuff just shoved up there that you couldn't walk across the floor. If I needed to get to anything over by the windows, I had to crawl over those things you see on the floor.
( And after... )
