The Big News™
There are big changes afoot at Reconstructing History.

Today I would like to welcome to the RH team my partner in life, Bob ([info]nq3x).

Bob has been helping out whenever he could since RH launched in August of 2004. But all the while, he was working a full-time job. Sometimes it was more-than-full-time. In October, Bob's employer sold the business to a corporate concern that, in true corporate fashion, has been driving every right-thinking person from the place since the takeover.

We've been planning for Bob to come work for RH for at least two years, but the right opportunity hadn't yet presented itself. Since January and despite all reports of a recession, RH has been doubling last year's sales figures, jumping through hoops, and sitting up and begging for more. So we thought, "Now or never!" We've actually had so much business that I've been turning away orders just to be able to get the bare minimum done. This is not good for the business, of course. And you've heard my whining and complaining over the last few weeks here.

We secured our own health insurance through the Chamber of Commerce and it became effective on 1 April, so yesterday was Bob's logical last day at his old job.

So now when you call Reconstructing History, that lilting baritone you hear? It ain't me.

(And yeah, it hasn't escaped my notice that it's April Fool's Day. But we're not foolin'.)
