These look wonderful! I really like the RH824 yellow gown and hat. But I promised myself I'd make an Elizabethan next. Right after that 17th century mantua & stays.

So - I have this fantastically hideous fabric that is neon lime green with emerald green glitter in abstract swirls all over it and I am going to make a faerie ball costume (dubbed the Absinthe Faerie) with it - I'm going to go with # 821. Do you want to see pictures? Or should I never mention the connection? ;)

I want to see pictures!

(and Kass - do you think I could get a round gown/824 out of 4 yards? or should I go and buy another 3?)

As long as it's 60" wide, you can. You might need to do some minimal piecing, but that is VERY period. Just for your edification: I tend to exaggerate yardages and list the yardage needed for the largest size.

Groovy, thanks! I have a lovely blue linen and want to make something appropriate to my new workplace (even if I'm working in the office ;) )

Awesome! And RH824 looks really good in linen. See:

This may come as a terrible shock, but I really love to see what wild and imaginative things people do with my patterns. I am not very creative myself and tend to "stick to the rules" as it were. So when someone really takes one of my patterns and does things with it that I would have never dreamed, it really rocks my world.

Besides, my favourite colour is neon green...

So many possibilities! I really ought to get my butt in gear and finish the mid-18th c. stays that have been languishing on my sewing pile for 6 months. Then I need to pick a style of gown and make that too so that I have a complete outfit to wear, just on the off chance that the occasion should ever arise...

Wahooo! I've got dibs on a sack back or maybe the battante & the late mantua &&&. Aww, heck, dibs on one of each.

I'm loving all the choices you're offering now. The only problem, I'm running out of *fabric* choices!

It was you who originally made me think to make 18th century gowns. So they're all for you!

Hi Kass, I just received the Regency Lady's day/morning dress pattern, and I'm really excited to try it. I'm finishing up my stays this week, and will start this one soon.
