Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!

Okay. *pant pant pant* Get this.

We just hit a record sales number for the month.

A record.

We didn't get any big orders from National Geographic to put on an exhibit.

We didn't get an order from Broadway for 6700 shirts.

We didn't do Costume Con or any big reenactor show where we'd make mega-bucks.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Just normal, regular wholesale and retail orders.

A record number of them.

In April.

Not June. Not July. Not August. Not September.

Little ol' April.

A record.

I think I'm gonna faint...

Yeah. I don't think he realised how much he was gonna be hussling his funky butt! Heh.

Good thing we're importing the German minion on Monday too. If May is anything like April (please GOD!), we're gonna need all the help we can get.

Just all over the place kind of orders. There was no particular "surge" in any one area. Just steady growth that become "OH MY GOD" by the time we got to the end of the month.

April's totals beating March's is just shocking though. March is usually gangbusters (and it was this year too) and as a result, April is kinda slow. But... just wow.

Oh oh oh! Today is Paperwork Day: I filed for my trade name with the Colorado Secretary of State, I got my federal ID number, I got the paperwork for my Longmont and Colorado tax ID numbers, and I did the paperwork for my home business permit.

My "allowance" was small - we're using the rest towards house stuff, but it was enough for the patterns I got. They were waiting at home for me when I got there from work last night. Whee! I flipped through the directions - I'm so excited that you included the hand stitching directions, too!!

I often take hand-work with me to do during my lunch breaks. I did the bodice of one of my other regency dresses all by hand that way (and a set of stays similar to your tabbed ones that I just got), but I was never really confident that although it was "hand sewn" that it was also historically accurate. So I can't say how excited I am to start working on this!!
